Accessible Accommodations at Sandcastle Resort

Sandcastle Resort is equipped to accommodate mobility accessible needs in the following areas of the resort via self-operating lifts or sloped entryways:

  • Main entrance

  • Meeting spaces

  • Restaurant & lounge

  • Beach Access

  • Pool, equipped with pool lift

  • Handicap auto and van parking spaces

Mobility Accessible Non-View Queen

The non-view queen room includes one queen-sized bed. These rooms face north and look out over a rock garden with palms, and the garage. These rooms are 400 square feet and can accommodate up to two guests.

Mobility Accessible features include:

  • TV with closed captioning explaining all hotel features

  • Roll-in shower

  • Toilet with grab bars

  • Lowered, removable shower head

  • Lowered countertops

  • Lowered safe (mounted on the floor)

  • Lowered light switches

  • Optional communication features for guests with hearing disabilities which could include:

    • Telephone with high to low volume switch

    • TTY available upon request

Mobility Accessible Non-View King

The non-view king rooms include a plush king bed and are located on the ground floor. These rooms are 252 square feet and can accommodate a maximum of two adults, or two adults and a child. Some of these rooms include a sleeper sofa, but not all. We will try our best to accommodate requests to be placed into a non-view king room with the sleeper sofa, however it is not guaranteed.
